Biography
Dr. Karashiali is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Cyprus. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Psychology from the University of Surrey and a Master of Science (MSc) in Health Psychology from University College London (UCL), United Kingdom.
She has also completed a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program from Harvard Medical School titled 'Assessment and Treatment of Major Depressive Disorders', which focused on the assessment and treatment of major depressive disorder, including suicide risk assessment and the management of depression in individuals with medical illnesses.
As part of her doctoral clinical training, she completed extensive supervised clinical placements across a range of mental health settings in Cyprus. These included the Mental Health Center at the University of Cyprus, the Counselling Centre 'Ithaki', and the Solidarity Network 'Nicosia in Action'. During these placements, she provided a range of services, including psychoeducational workshops, psychological assessment, and therapeutic interventions (both individual and group), working with adults, adolescents, children, and families.
